The "wear" is part of the design and not from actual heavy use - the skirt looks never worn

Vintage ring has a shining iridescent greenish yellow abalone center with an angular asymmetrical sterling silver setting

but dates back to the 1970s and no doubt got it's wear during many toasty autumns :)
